I upgraded this site to the newest version of Hugo just by prompting:
lets upgrade this to newest version of hugo
and nothing more.
Current models, GPT-5.5 for instance, can deal with tougher problems like git rebasing and preserving semantics, so bumping versions like this, even a jump from Hugo v0.124.1 to v0.163.3, is not much of a challenge.
The upgrade still needed real verification: local builds, local preview, Netlify config, theme module updates, and a browser check that the laptop-camping map and table still rendered properly. But the implementation was straightforward enough that the prompt could stay simple.
